Our annual CT System Performance Evaluation consists of a mini-ACR Accreditation test and meets all the relevant standards for CT Quality Assurance. We use the site’s ACR Gammex phantom (this is required for the weekly testing) and we check the following items:

- Scout Localization Accuracy
- Slice Thickness Accuracy
- CT Number Measurements
- Spatial Uniformity
- Artifacts
- Image Noise
- Low Contrast Resolution
- High Contrast Resolution
- Scatter Measurements
- Printer Operation
- Operator Workstation
- Measured CTDI Values
This testing usually takes approximately 1-2 hrs and also does a review of the site’s weekly QC Program. We also perform the ACR Accreditation testing as required.
We have three physicists on staff that meet the ACR requirements for experience, CEUs, and education for CT.
